How do I register for a class?
You are welcome to register in person, over the phone or simply select the class you want from our class listings and register using our online registration form. 

How do I register for private lessons?
In order to make sure that you are paired with just the right instructor call our front desk at (512) 712-5187. 

What if I have to drop out of my class? Can I get a credit or a refund?
If you decide to withdraw from the class prior to the third class, you will be refunded for the remainder of the classes on a prorated basis. There will be no refunds after the third class. Also, we do not offer make-up lessons for our group classes. If you need to miss one, you will not be refunded for your missed class.   

Hey, my class was cancelled! What's up with that?
We offer an enormous variety of classes, and the number of students interested in taking each one varies from session to session - sometimes it varies in the wrong direction. So, unfortunate though it may be, the Lone Star School of Music must reserve the right to cancel a class due to insufficient registration. We will notify you by phone if we have to cancel a class in which you have enrolled, and we will gladly suggest an alternate class. 

What if my instructor has to miss a lesson?

The wonderful faculty at the Lone Star are not only talented instructors, they are also sought after musicians and, above all else, human.  Occasionally and for various reasons they will have to miss a lesson.  In that case the Lone Star will call upon some our other talented faculty to substitute for that lesson. This may be done without notification.

Having a substitute teacher is NOT a bad thing.  This is an opportunity for you or your child to get a different perspective on the instrument and music that you or they are working on.

Do you offer incentives for referring other students?
Why yes, yes we do!  If you refer someone to the Lone Star and they sign up for a class or lessons, you will receive one free lesson! 

I'm throwing a party. Can you help me find a band?
