Hunter P

Hunter is a professional musician who plays full-time in Austin Texas. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Music, plays all genres (jazz, latin, metal, pop, etc.), is well-versed in music theory, and has been teaching drums and piano for 10 years now. Professionally Hunter has recorded drums for dozens of bands, played in front of thousands of people, has toured the country playing music, and has played iconic music venues in Austin, such as The Broken Spoke, Antones, Empire Control Room, Mohawk, Valhallah, and more. Hunter is as passionate about teaching as he is performing, and has taught all styles and levels of learners.

Hunter's teaching-style is driven, fun, goal-oriented, and focuses on developing a personalized comprehensive musical literacy; knowledge of theory, songwriting, technique, music history, music technology, sight-reading, drum-tuning/tone-development, and other practical music skills. Ultimately, Hunter's goal is to instill into each student a sense of joy and wonder for music that will carry with them for a lifetime.

Hunter is available for in-person lessons Sunday and teaches drumset and piano.
